Andrea Klett qualified candidate for county clerk

Dear Editor,

On Thursday, Sept. 10, Tioga County New York Republicans will select who they want to represent them on the November ballot. The most qualified candidate is Andrea (LaPlante) Klett.

Klett is the daughter of former County Clerk Carole LaPlante. She is a veteran of the United States Army and is presently serving as the sole assessor for the Town of Owego.

Klett is a graduate of both Broome Community College and Cornell University. She has served in numerous capacities including time with the Tioga County Soil and Water Conservation District as well as adjudicating unemployment claims for the State.

In her present role as Assessor (eight years) she has become very much acquainted with the path that a property deed takes from the County Clerk’s office to the local Assessor. Klett fully appreciates what a deed to someone’s home means to them.

I respect the professionalism, education, and experience that Andrea Klett offers our Republican community and encourage registered Republicans to vote for Andrea Klett on the afternoon of Sept. 10.

Most respectfully,

Marty Borko

Former member of the Tioga County Legislature
