Valentine's Day soccer championship For Hiawatha Hammerheads

Finishing unbeaten in round-robin soccer tournament play, the Hiawatha Hammerheads won the Under-10 championship at the annual Saint Valentine’s Day Massacre Tournament at Syracuse Indoor Soccer Center on Monday, Feb. 16, 2015.

The Hammerheads defeated challengers from the Syracuse area in the three-team event to win the title.

Paced by the play of defensive stalwarts Jack Rollison, Kaden Hover and Darren Starkweather, the Hammerheads allowed just one goal throughout the entire tournament.

The Hammerheads team is part of the Hiawatha Soccer Association of Owego and presently includes players from Apalachin, Candor, and Owego.
