Santa brings smiles

Santa brings smiles Imagine the joy on a child’s face when they open their front door only to be greeted by that iconic jolly man in a red suit who pays children a visit every December. Several children in Tioga County got to experience that excitement on Dec. 22, 2014, when Santa made a special delivery to their foster homes.

Thanks to the continued generosity of the Tioga County community, several children in foster care were delighted when Santa came and helped them open their gifts. Santa also provided each child with their first gift of Christmas, a single silver bell to hang on their tree.

The Tioga County Foster Care program would like to thank the Lounsberry United Methodist Church and the East Berkshire United Methodist Church for providing gifts to the children who are currently in foster care. Additional thanks go to Tioga County’s resident Santa, Director of Administrative Services Gary Grant, for delivering the gifts and providing the children with lasting memories.
