The Dixieland jazz band, JazzHappensBand (JHB), is joining Chef Bob and crew at The Cellar Restaurant on Front Street in Owego, N.Y. to throw an authentic Mardi Gras Party on Feb. 8 from 3 to 6 p.m. (the restaurant will be open until 7 p.m.)
Listen to a mix of Dixie, Blues and quick stepping Jazz while enjoying The Cellar’s Cajun food buffet and beer tasting evening that will include fried alligator, spicy sticky chicken, gumbo, crawfish etouffee, broccoli slaw, King’s cake and more. Also, taste their four craft beers on tap and bottled Louisiana beer. The cost is $20 for the food, or $32 with beer. Be sure to collect doubloons for a $1 off future visits.

The JazzHappensBand is dedicated to preserving the traditional Dixieland style of jazz. The group has entertained at a variety of locations and organizations including the Jazz Appreciation Society of Syracuse, the Flower City Jazz Society of Rochester, and the Twin Tiers Jazz Festival in Elmira.
