The Candor Emergency Squad is hosting an Open House and Pork Chop BBQ on Nov. 9, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at their garage located at 58 Main St. in Candor.
Planned for the Open House is information on the Candor EMS Value Plan; the purchase a reflective house/road number; information on how to make a “good” 911 call; Blood Pressure Screenings; Heart Attack, Stroke and Designer Drug Awareness; information on Link to Life and Office for the Aging; a Wellness Program; membership information; the Yellow Dot Campaign; and Prescription Drug and Medical Information Sheets.
The Pork Chop BBQ will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Get two pork chops, cole slaw, baked beans, applesauce, and rolls for $8.00. Pre-sale tickets are available by seeing a squad member, calling 659-5529, or by email to emscandor@gmail.com.
Only 200 dinners will be prepared, so pre-sale tickets are recommended; this BBQ sells out every year. Guests can eat in or take out.
