Stray Haven Pet of the Week for the week of Nov. 2, 2014

Stray Haven Pet of the WeekDaisy is a seven to eight-year old female Bassett/Beagle mix who was adopted several years ago from Stray Haven. She was returned to them recently when her owner could no longer care for her.

Daisy is an absolute love that loves to have her belly rubbed and is submissive. Poor Daisy suffered an injury and had her right paw amputated in the past. She has a special boot she can wear on it for protection, but it causes her to hobble.

Daisy has adjusted to life as an amputee, but the kennel is not an ideal place for her. Daisy is currently being treated for a bladder infection as well. She is truly one of the sweetest dogs the shelter has ever had, and is good with everyone.

Visit Daisy at Stray Haven Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Wednesday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
