Our founders held biblical teachings as a core value

Dear Editor,

I recently heard that three states replaced our country’s historical beginning of Columbus Day with Indigenous Peoples day. While I appreciate our indigenous people they in no way have the credentials of the adventurous Columbus.

In remembrance, he fought to have financial support to explore an alternate water path to Japan. After gaining financial support he miraculously discovered America. This knowledge spread through Europe and was a vast stepping-stone for Europeans seeking religious and personal Freedom from oppressive governments. These Europeans risked their lives for this freedom, which set the stage for our democracy to be formed. It was successful because their religion, based on the Bible, guided our democracy to be run by humble people. (via. ALEXIS DE TOCQUEVILLE  & SOCRATES IN HIS DEATH). Most democracies failed because of selfish rulers like those in power here today.

Many will say SO WHAT! In my eyes we are being pressured to ignore the selfless Biblical teachings given to us to teach us how to live to be successful in this world. Our founders held that as a core value. Unless we turn back to it, the miracle of our country will be a memory.
