On March 19, Shelter Slam, a music event to benefit area animal rescue organizations, will take place at Magic City Music Hall in Binghamton, N.Y. from 11 a.m. until close. Admission to the event, which is open to all ages, is $10 or an equivalent donation of pet food.
There will be live music throughout the event as well as raffles, with proceeds, after expenses, benefitting a variety of rescue groups.
Raffle tickets are available now at area animal shelters and are selling for $5.00. Items being raffled at the event include a signed Les Paul Epiphone by Rob Zombie, and a signed tote, canvas, and other items to benefit area rescue groups.

Bands slated to perform are Kickstart, Recycled Zombies, Jimmy Jones and the Family Jewels, Dirty Martini, Rize, Burning Moonlight, O.c.D, Vape, Aftermath, Bottoms up, Bendher, The Kiil, Pawnshop, and Wreckless Marci.
Rescue groups slated to benefit from the event include Jimmy Js Avain Rescue Center, A.M.P.S, Pibbles and More, Every Dogs Dream, Angel Eyes, Willows Wings, and the Binghamton Humane Society.
