The Village of Owego will be hosting the annual Lights on the River Festival Friday Dec. 4, from 5 to 9 p.m. The Owego Police are reminding visitors and residents that Lake Street will be closed, as well as Front Street between Church Street and Court Street.
In a release received on Tuesday, the police noted that the closings are in effect from 4 to 9 p.m., and that there will be no on street parking allowed in the area.
The fireworks are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. from Draper Park. At that time, the Court Street Bridge, Park Street, and Court Street will be closed to all traffic until the area is cleared by officials following the fireworks.
The police recommend that vehicles should seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
