Arts Council and Swim Team to host annual duck derbyThe Tioga Arts Council (TAC) and the Owego-Apalachin Girls Swim Team are proud to announce that a new brood of ducklings have hatched and are getting ready to swim in the Rubber Duck Derby on Saturday, June 20 during Owego’s Strawberry Festival.

Flock to Owego’s Court Street Bridge at 4 p.m. to watch your adopted rubber ducky take a dive. Adopt a single duck for $5, a flock of five for $20, or a six quack for $25. Hundreds of dollars in prizes will be awarded.

Contact TAC at (607) 687-0785 to adopt your ducks. You can also adopt them with the help of members of the Owego-Apalachin Girls Swim Team.

Ducks will also be available for adoption at the TAC booth at 179 Front St. during the Strawberry Festival on June 20.

The Duck Derby is a fundraiser for the Owego-Apalachin Girls Swim Team and the Tioga Arts Council.
