The First Presbyterian Union Church is honoring one of their “Saints,” Fred Shuler, who served in the 10th Mountain Division during WWII, and participated in the capture of Riva Ridge in Italy.
On March 13 at 4 p.m., they will show a video about the history and also a prerecorded interview with Fred. His wife, Eudora, will be there to share anecdotal stories, along with family members.
In the church’s newsletter, they wrote, “Learn about one of our FPUC saints and his many hidden talents. Fred was a legend. Oh, the places he has been!”
People can attend in person or watch with a zoom meeting as follows: Meeting ID: 819 4028 9108, Passcode: FPUC.
The church is located at 90 North Ave. in Owego, N.Y. for those attending in person. A reception will follow.
