The Tioga County Legislature sent out a press release on Wednesday to inform the public that the Department of Motor Vehicles, located at the County Building on Main Street in Owego, will be closed until the middle of the week. The County did not offer a reason for the closure, but did apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.
In the brief release, county lawmakers wrote, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Tioga County Department of Motor Vehicles will be temporarily closed effective Wednesday, November 3, 2021 until the middle of next week. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. We will notify the public when we resume operations.”
If a need is urgent, residents should visit dmv.ny.gov or visit a neighboring DMV, if possible.
