Join the Black Cat Gallery for First Friday in Owego on Nov. 1, at 6 p.m., as they present “Triton Trio”, the husband-wife duet of Tom and Marie on guitar and bass, and banjo wizard R. J. Siegers.
Tom and Marie play acoustic covers of popular music from the 60’s and 70’s, and R. J. is versatile and original on the 5-string banjo.
The Black Cat Gallery also features Denise Tarbox as its artist of the month for November. Denise is a textile artist that creates whimsical felted pumpkins, tower witch hats, silk scarves, and felted wool hats for the cooler months.
Denise has been felting for more than 20 years, is a member of the “Shuttle and Spinner Guild” of the Newark Valley Historical Society, and teaches and demonstrates her felting techniques at various sheep and wool shows in New York and Pennsylvania.
The Black Cat Gallery is always looking for new and interesting artwork and crafts for their gallery. If you are interested, stop by and see them for an application, follow them on Facebook and Instagram for the latest creations of jewelry, textiles, pottery, art and much more.
