Since 1989 the Apalachin Lions have been awarding scholarships. This year they were able to award $3,000 in scholarships. Winners received $1,000 at their respective award ceremonies.
The scholarship is to promote and reward young people for service to their community and school. This year’s three winners are Corrin Raynor from Owego Free Academy, Lacey Sanguinito from Montrose Area High School, and Jacob Pompeii from Vestal Senior High.
