On Thursday, July 4, area residents and visitors gathered in Candor, N.Y. for the annual parade. This year’s theme is The Best of Candor, Past, Present and Future.
Following the parade, the annual American Auxiliary Chicken BBQ was served and the carnival began and then ran through Saturday.
Fireworks were included in the celebrations taking place in Candor as well as a visit by the Zoo-mobile, a Kiddie Parade, Dan the Snake Man, the carnival rides, a juggler, and the Candor Community Chorus concert.
The final day of Candor’s celebration will be a Horse pull at Side Hill Acres on Sunday, July 7; admission is $7, and children under 12 are free. Gates open at 8 a.m.
