On the morning of June 4, 2019, the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office investigated a fatal motorcycle accident on East Berkshire Road in the Town of Berkshire that occurred at 7:56 a.m. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the motorcycle was traveling in a westerly direction on East Berkshire Road at the time of the accident.
The operator, 42-year- old Carl E. Hoaglin, Jr. of Newark Valley, N.Y., according to deputies, was found to be deceased and was the only person on the motorcycle.
The Berkshire Fire Department and Richford Fire Department assisted the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.
The investigation by the Tioga County Sheriff’s Accident Investigation Unit is ongoing at this time. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office at (607) 687-1010.
