TeamTCBGC raising funds during Strawberry Shake 5K

Are you running or walking the Strawberry Shake 5K this year? Want to make a difference while you run? Join TeamTCBGC and run for great futures! 

The Tioga County Boys and Girls Club (TCBGC) will be running in this year’s Strawberry Shake 5K, planned for Friday evening, June 14, to raise awareness about the programs, activities, and services offered to keep kids safe during the out-of-school time. 

Research shows that one out of every four kids leave school with no place to go, which means they risk being unsupervised and unsafe. We also know that what happens during the out-of-school time can have a significant impact on kids. There is evidence that out-of-school time programs are able to reverse the negative trends facing youth, including dropout rates, obesity and violence. 

That is what the Tioga County Boys and Girls Club is all about – providing youth with a safe, constructive, supportive environment after school and during the summer months.

The Club is inviting you to join their mission to make great futures happen in our community by purchasing the exclusive TeamTCBGC tech tee for $15 and wear it during the race; $5 of every shirt purchased will directly support their summer youth programs!
