Apalachin Lions to hold Broom Sale

Apalachin Lions to hold Broom Sale

The Apalachin Lions Club will be conducting their annual Broom Sale in June. This event is their Community Service fundraiserand all the money raised is used to help those in need- mainly in our community.

This year the Lions will be selling on Saturday, June 8 starting at 10 a.m.; and Monday thru Wednesday, June 10, 11 and 12, starting at 5:30 p.m. each day.

Sales will be door-to-door throughout Apalachin and Campville (Tioga County), and Little Meadows, Pa. Items being sold include brooms, cleaning cloths, sponges, grill brushes, and dusters. All are quality products from name brand manufacturers.

Each year, the Lions typically provide over $25,000 to help local residents. The money is used for activities, which include disaster relief, scholarships to high school seniors, Special Olympics, highway cleanup, pre-school eye screening, Christmas Baskets, Santa Phone Ins, the Easter Egg Hunt, eye exams and glasses, emergency expense assistance, back-to-school gift certificates, and the annual senior citizens dinner.

The Apalachin Lions are only able to serve the community because the community supports them.
