ICS sees continued growth in the Southern Tier

For more than three decades, ICS has provided comprehensive IT solutions for the business needs of its clients. Ranging from security compliance standards and cloud-based services, to long-term proactive software, data and communication services, ICS has helped their customers tackle the challenges encompassing the evolving world of technology.

ICS President Kevin Blake, a Broome County native, joined the company in 1996 and eventually bought out the previous owner in 2005. The company has grown from a handful of employees to about 80 today in three locations including Endicott, Syracuse and Ithaca, and supports hundreds of clients 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Blake remarked, “I came on board at the right timing in the industry, when Microsoft products first emerged.”

Since then, Blake said technology has been ever changing, and chuckled, “It’s never dull.”

That constant change is a positive driver for the company, and where Blake has focused energies on more opportunities in mergers and acquisitions. The most recent office location opened in Ithaca in 2018. More positive news, ICS was previously ranked as the top IT provider in Central New York by the Central New York Business Journal.

The ICS client base reaches from central New York to the Southern Tier, as well as northeast Pennsylvania. The company’s connection to Tioga County, Blake said, includes clients such as Upstate Shredding, Wagner Lumber, Partners Insurance, Tioga Downs Resort and Casino, along with the Town of Owego, among others.

Blake commented that two of the main growth areas for ICS today include migrating to cloud computing and system security and compliance.

Blake further explained that ICS is focused on being a one-stop service for their clients and works to build long-term partnerships.

Recently joining ICS as Project Manager for all locations is James Kobylanski. Also on board is Jennifer Cross as Administrative Assistant and Samuel Martinichio and Anthony Pass as IP Systems Engineers. Gerald McClammy and Ty Phetphongsy join the ICS team as help desk technicians.
