TCNN Member Focus – Tioga County Chamber Of Commerce

From helping members to make connections at networking events, to increasing their bottom line, the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce works hard to make local businesses stronger. We are committed to helping our members succeed in this dynamic community.

As we embark on our 100th year in 2019, we will do more to assist and promote business in our community. Our mission continues to “…support and promote the commercial and civic well-being of Tioga County.”

Chamber members are dedicated to helping our community grow, and we encourage you to do business with them. Made up of nearly 300 member businesses, we bridge cross-sections of the region. The Tioga Chamber also works with elected officials to help improve the business climate of New York State.

You may know the Tioga Chamber for ribbon cuttings and groundbreakings, but we offer much more. There’s a vast scope of services that we offer, including weekly eBlast newsletters, educational and networking events, business-to-business marketing, and opportunities for small business counseling.

The Tioga Chamber began offering On-The-Job (OJT) grants to businesses and organizations of Tioga County in 2017 in order to offset training costs for their employees. Under this ongoing contract, training grants of up to $5,000 are available to businesses that are either hiring a new employee or promoting a current employee to a new position.

Leadership Tioga is a Tioga Chamber of Commerce sponsored program designed to assist, educate, inform and empower participants. The goal is to develop individuals for future leadership roles in our county and increase their knowledge of local issues and leadership skills. Since 1999, over 300 people have completed the program.

The Tioga County Non-Profit Network (TCNN) is a grassroots effort to bring together leaders from non-profit organizations to address common interests and to better serve the people of Tioga County. TCNN typically meets every other month on the fourth Wednesday from noon to 1:30 p.m.
