On March 12, the Owego Rotary Club (ORC) presented a check for $1,000 to A New Hope Center (ANHC) in recognition of the important role ANHC plays in our community. ANHC serves as the victim service program for all of Tioga County, offering free and confidential help to those victimized by domestic violence, sexual assault and other forms of abuse.

According to Executive Director, Fran Bialy, the staff members at ANHC are trained to provide a variety of services to those in need. Staff members can assist with legal advocacy, including assistance with completion and filing Family Court documents, and can accompany clients to Family, Criminal, and IDV Courts. They also are able to provide advocacy in the navigation of the Social Services system, aid in housing searches, and assistance connecting individuals to community resources.

A New Hope Center operates a Supervised Visitation Program, offering supervision for court-ordered visitation that allows visiting parents to foster a healthy relationship with their child(ren) in a safe and respectful environment.

Businessman Art Stiles founded the Owego Rotary Club (ORC) in December 1920. Since then, ORC has worked to provide Community Service to improve the quality of life for people in our communities and to serve the public interest.
