Candor Historical Society to discuss Marion Kelsey

The Candor Historical Society is hosting a roundtable discussion on Marion Kelsey, one of Candor’s illustrious characters from the last century. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m. at the Candor Town Hall.

Marion lived all of his 92 years on the family farm on Kelsey Road, where he grew prize-winning potatoes and gladiolas. He was also known to ‘terrorize’ any neighborhood kids who dared to walk across his property.

Those now grown-up kids will be on hand to share their stories of Marion. The Candor Historical Society invites others to join in this interesting discussion with stories of their own.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information about this and other Candor Historical Society events, contact President Milt Dougherty by calling (607) 659-7357.
