The Apalachin United Methodist Church (UMC), located at 303 Pennsylvania Ave. in Apalachin (across from the fire station), has opened a free Clothing Closet, open to all in need.
The Clothing Closet is open Monday through Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., except for holidays. They are also accepting clean, gently used clothing.
They also offer books from the library. You may keep the books, pass them on to others after you have read them, or return them to the Clothes Closet for others to use.
