On Tuesday, Jan. 15, the Tioga County Department of Social Services (DSS) announced that Christine Freyvogel, Community Services Worker, had been named Employee of the Fourth Quarter 2018.
This award is given in recognition of Christine Freyvogel’s exceptional work and contributions to the Tioga County Department of Social Services. Christine began her career with Tioga County DSS in September 2017.
According to a recent press release from DSS, since she began at the agency, Christine has had a positive impact on those she works with, both within the agency and in the community. They stated, in the release, “Christine’s duties include assisting with transports, supervising visits and parent aide services; but she does so much more than that.”
They added, “Christine has sought out new ways to help others; she has familiarized herself with the health insurance, SNAP, HEAP and public assistance eligibility processes. Families have asked Christine to have meals with them, go to their children’s school functions and to come back and visit.
Christine is a stellar example of how a kind heart and a non -judgmental attitude can have the most profound influence on people’s lives.”
