Flame concert planned for February 2 at Tioga Downs

Flame, the band, will perform in concert at Tioga Downs’ Hotel ballroom in Nichols, N.Y. on Saturday, Feb. 2, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Lions Camp Badger is sponsoring this exciting event that will showcase what individuals with special needs can do when given the opportunities and support necessary to succeed. Hosted by Lions Camp Badger, they are proud to offer “Flame”, a ten-member band ensemble where all of the members have disabilities, but they do not let their challenges define them. “Flame” has performed internationally, and they are truly excited to bring their talents to the community for the second year in a row. Get a sneak peek and hear them perform online at www.flametheband.com.

Also entertaining guests will be one of their own talented campers, Jay Barrows. Jay loves to sing and will open the concert with a special song that he has chosen to share.

You can also learn about the many programs offered at Lions Camp Badger at this event. Meet some of the campers and staff, and see what exciting things they have planned for 2019! This afternoon of entertainment, dancing, and social time promises to be fun-filled, family friendly, and enjoyable for all.

Call 1-800-232-7060 or visit www.lionscb.org to reserve your ticket. This event is open to the public and advance sale tickets are available at $25 each. All proceeds support Lions Camp Badger programs.

Thanks to generous donations from community members and organizations, campers and one caregiver will be able to attend for free. They also have a limited number of tickets available free to non-campers who have special needs and their caregivers.

Lions Camp Badger is a nonprofit residential camp for teens and adults with functional differences. Campers enjoy swimming, boating, arts and crafts, fishing, sports, and so much more.

Lions Camp Badger is operated by the Empire State Special Needs Experience, Inc. and is supported by the Lions Clubs of New York State and Bermuda. Visit www.lionscb.org to learn more.
