The Tioga County Legislature held their First Special and Organizational Meeting of 2019 on Jan. 2. At this meeting, Martha Sauerbrey was elected Chairwoman of the Tioga County Legislature and begins her seventh year as Chief Executive Officer of the County.
Legislator Ed Hollenbeck will serve as Deputy Chair and Legislator Dale Weston will serve as the 2nd Deputy Chair of the Legislature for 2019.
In addition, County Clerk Andrea Klett swore-in Legislators Cliff Balliet, Tracy Monell, Dennis Mullen, Martha Sauerbrey, and Loretta Sullivan for their new terms of office.
Legislator Balliet took his oath of office as a newly elected Legislator representing Legislative District #1. Legislator Balliet replaces Legislator Dick Huttleston, who retired in December 2018 after serving on the Tioga County Legislature for 26 years.
