Greater Valley EMS offers ‘Safe Ride Home’

Year’s Eve this year. The program, supported by William’s Auto Group and several local restaurants, provides a free ride home to local residents who have been celebrating.

Safe Ride Home started in 1991 to ensure that on New Year’s Eve individuals didn’t have to get behind the wheel of a motor vehicle and have a chance of being involved in an accident where themselves or others were injured or even killed. This is the 27th year of Safe Ride Home and is anticipated to transport approximately 200 passengers or more home safely within a ten-mile radius of Sayre.

Donations of food, refreshments, and financial support are being accepted.

Reservations for Safe Ride Home are now being accepted and can be made by calling (570) 888-6000.

For more information about reservations or the Safe Ride Home Program, contact Fran Webb, Safe Ride Home coordinator at Greater Valley EMS at (570) 888-6000 ext 236 or visit www.GVEMS.org, or Follow Greater Valley EMS on Facebook.
