DECEMBER 23
American Legion Sunday Breakfast, 8 to 11:30 a.m., Front Street, Owego. Made to order specials, ages under five are free.

Owego United Methodist Church Sunday Services, 8:15 and 10:30 a.m., 261 Main St., Owego.

Toys for Tots, 1 p.m., Nichols Fire Department, Nichols. La Familia MC, Tioga Chapter has teamed up with the Nichols Joint Fire District for this gift-giving event. Santa will arrive at the firehouse in Nichols via fire truck to hand out toys to all children present. Hot Cocoa and doughnuts will be provided.

DECEMBER 24

Candle Light Christmas Eve Service, 7 p.m., Harmony United Methodist Church, 726 Rte. 221, Harford. All are welcome.

Family Candlelight Service 4:30 p.m., Owego United Methodist Church, 261 Main St., Owego. Will include a play with children and youth involved with the message from the Gospel of Luke.

Candlelight Service, 7 p.m., Owego United Methodist Church, 261 Main St., Owego. Will include a message by Rev. James W. Stevens.

Candlelight Christmas Eve Service, 6 p.m., First Baptist Church of Owego, corner of Church and Main Street, Owego.

Team Trivia Night, 7 p.m., Owego Elks Lodge, 223 Front St., Owego. The cost is $5 per person. There will be a prize awarded to the first place team at a value of $25. Light snacks will be offered, and the bar will be open for drinks. All proceeds from this sale will support the Lodge Capital Improvement Fund.

JANUARY 2 and 4
Mountain Trail Bow Hunters, a non-profit organization, will begin their 13-Week Winter League on Wednesday and Friday, 331 West Chenango Rd., Castle Creek. 3 Spot Target Face – 45 arrows per week. Shooting lines at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Wednesdays, and 6 and 8 p.m. on Fridays. The cost is $8 per week plus mandatory league fee of $28 paid by week #4. 5th Annual Dan Manwaring Annual Free Throw Contest for Boys and Girls ages nine to 14, registration at 9 a.m., championship begins at 10 a.m., Tioga Central High School gym. Admission is free. Sponsored by Knights of Columbus.
