Skeptics beware; a recent show held at the Cider Mill in Endicott had guests leaving with as many questions as when they arrived as Beyond Imagination Entertainment presented Magic Beyond Imagination for two nights of magic.

Featuring Kozmo, well-known street performer, and Joe Maxwell and Garrett Thomas, of national fame, the show defied all logic as melons appeared out of hats, card decks shrunk in front of your eyes, and the Rubik’s Cube was solved in zero seconds by Thomas, a time that far exceeded his last known record.

Because of the skill involved with the Rubik’s Cube, Thomas’ signature performance, followers from around the magic circuit traveled to Endicott to see the show, and to brush elbows with some of the world’s greatest performers.

Ten-year-old Noah Thomas, an aspiring magician from Scranton, Pa., attended the show with his parents. As part of the Mel’s Magic Club, Thomas wanted to attend the show to continue learning the tricks of the trade.

Performing card tricks for guests prior to the start of the show, Frank Catalano, of Tioga, County, N.Y., stated that he would be happy just watching Noah perform all night.

“This kid is the real show,” stated Catalano, who reveled in the young magician.

And Noah Thomas is not new to the spotlight. He was recently featured in the Times-Tribune out of Scranton for his magic performances during First Friday held at The Marketplace at Steamtown in Scranton, Pa.

And Noah Thomas wasn’t the only guest of notoriety in the audience. Timothy Carver, a magician from Manchester, Md., drove all the way to Endicott, N.Y. for the show.

“He’s my favorite,” said Carver of Garrett Thomas.

At 19 years old, Carver considers himself a professional magician, last performing at Green Mount Station in Maryland, a venue that is host to weekly magic shows. Carver specifically talked about his fascination with Garrett’s work with the Rubik’s Cube.

“He taught me what I know about the cube,” said Carver of Garrett’s work.

As a personal record, Carver stated that he, himself, has learned to solve the cube with a record time of 20 seconds; Garret’s time, Caver noted, is a half of a second.

Refining his skill, Carver was in for a surprise on Saturday, Nov. 3, as Garrett Thomas was able to solve the cube in zero seconds; a feat that defied all the parameters of logic.

And the magicians performing for the Mental Madness Tour 2018 had an opportunity to present to Endicott for two performances – one on Friday, and one on Saturday.

Described by the promoters as “An In-Your-Face Magical Experience” starring Garrett Thomas, TV consultant to David Blaine, and legendary street magician Kozmo, and Joe Maxwell, guests were not disappointed.

David Blaine described Garrett Thomas, stating, “Garrett Thomas is the best close-up magician in the world.”

One of the fixtures behind today’s modern magic, Garrett Thomas took guests on a journey with sleight-of-hand, illusions, the Rubik’s Cube, and beyond.

When performing a trick with a driver’s license and his wallet, Garrett, prior to executing the magic trick, told guests that not only will they be astounded; that what they were about to see would also keep them up at night.

Garrett Thomas performed in Endicott following shows in Las Vegas and California, as well as a private performance in London for Madonna and guests.

Kozmo, a master in his field, has been entertaining on the streets around the world for much of his life. He has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Great Wall of China and everywhere in between.

Joe Maxwell, the show’s Master of Ceremonies, has appeared on Saturday Night Live and The Late Show with David Letterman. He specializes in magic with a humorous touch and has performed for a variety of celebrities including Rudy Giuliani, Scarlett Johansson and the great Yogi Berra.

With audience participation, these three incredible talents provided guests with a gift of new and impossible magical moments.

The show also served, in part, as a benefit for the Tioga County Boys & Girls Club in Owego, N.Y. The club’s new Executive Director, Jamie Holliday, was present at the show to greet guests, and to help with the sale of Rubik’s Cubes, eight balls, and t-shirts.
