Former First Lady Laura Bush is pictured with David Cooley and his daughter Jody Cooley, local Funeral directors, at the National Funeral Directors Conclave in Salt Lake City last week.

Mrs. Bush was the keynote speaker and discussed her time as First Lady, her reflections on 9/11, her passion for education and the work of the George W. Bush institute, which she and her husband President George W. Bush founded after leaving the White House. She also shared personal insights during a brief on stage conversation following her keynote address.

This  educational conclave was attended by nearly 3,000 funeral directors from around the world.
