Stray Haven Pet of the Week for the week of October 21

Stray Haven Pet of the WeekHello there, I’m Obie! I’m an older fellow about 10 years old, but that doesn’t slow me down any. I love going for walks and smelling all the different smells.

I don’t know many commands, but I have definitely figured out how to snuggle and I absolutely love meeting new people. One of my favorite things to do is visit the local nursing homes!

I have done okay with most of the other dogs here at the shelter and at events I have been to. I haven’t met a cat yet, but they do seem like they might be fun to chase.

If you would like to learn more about me, stop by Stray Haven some time and we can go for a walk!

October is Adopt a Shelter Dog month, and the adoption fee for adult dogs is only $100 and still includes microchip, spay and neuter and up-to-date Rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccines.

Celebrating October, the adoption fee for an adult cat is $31 or two kittens for $100 and includes spay and neuter, FIV/FeLV testing and up-to-date Rabies and FVRCP vaccines. Some animals’ adoption fees have been sponsored – meet your match and they can let you know if they are sponsored.

Visit Obie at Stray Haven Humane Society, located at 194 Shepard Rd. in Waverly, Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 6 p.m., Wednesday from noon to 7 p.m., Friday from noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
