Four Seasons Fitness Studio, located at 32-34 Lake St. (third floor), hosted an open house event during Owego’s “First Friday” celebration at the beginning of October. The event combined a showcasing of the studio’s physical fitness programs with live music, local artist exhibitions and the introduction of the most recent addition to the staff, a new yoga instructor.

“Story,” a local band that’s been on the Owego circuit for the past seven years, served up a mix of new and old pop, rock, folk, blues and country hits – from Bob Dylan and the Eagles to Luke Bryan and Jason Isbell. The trio played a total of ten different instruments through the night, providing a sound as diverse and wide-ranging as the stories the music told.

Local artists Rob Boss, of Rb Artistry: custom painting and “art for cool people”; Katie Vaz, author, illustrator, greeting card maker and Four Seasons Studio member; and Chris Trout exhibited and sold original work as varied as the evening’s music. Guests were also able to watch Rob as he created a new piece during the event.

Co-owners Barbara Patten and Cassandra Thompson are celebrating the start of their fifth year as owners of the studio. They are committed to keeping Owego healthy by offering a wide variety of challenging fitness opportunities, and by hosting events to raise awareness of – and support for – other people and organizations serving the community.

The studio is located at 32 Lake St. in Owego. To learn more, visit www.owegofitness.com.
