On Friday, Oct. 5, Four Seasons Fitness Studio will host an Open House from 6 to 9 p.m. during Owego’s First Friday event. Four Seasons, located at 32-34 Lake St. (third floor), will be offering art, live music, refreshments and a free yoga demo with their new yoga instructor.
Local band “Story,” featuring the music of Robert Henrich, Gordie Gottlieb and Brian Schendel, will be playing throughout the evening. he group was formed in 2011; together their musical experiences add up to almost a century.
Their musical styles range from folk, country and blues to rock and jazz standards – but always focus on songs that tell a story about people and life. The musical instruments they play are as varied as the songs.
Local artists who will be exhibiting their work include Rob Boss of Rb Artistry, custom painting and “art for cool people”; Katie Vaz, author, illustrator and greeting card maker; and local artist Chris Trout.
Hosting a First Friday Open House may be a new event for Four Seasons, but the studio is definitely not new to the Owego community. Originally Aerobics Central, it has been at the Lake Street location for over 20 years.
Co-owners Barbara Patten and Cassandra Thompson are celebrating the start of their fifth year as owners of the studio. Between them, Barbara and Cassandra hold more than a dozen fitness certifications and together have fitness experience totaling more than 30 years.
Barbara and Cassandra are committed to keeping Owego healthy – by providing a wide variety of challenging fitness opportunities, and by hosting events to raise awareness of, and support for, people and organizations in the community.
