If you’re interested in making a difference in your community, the AARP Tax-Aide program in Tioga County has a role for you. In 2017 they prepared over 900 returns for Tioga County residents, and are need of volunteers for the upcoming tax season.
With the help of volunteers, AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers free tax-filing help to those who need it most.
Volunteers will receive training and continued support in a welcoming environment. And, as the current volunteers tell them, you’ll not only learn new skills, but also get a great feeling from helping someone else.
They offer free tax preparation help to anyone, with special attention to older, low-income taxpayers.
