From the Desk of Owego Police Chief Joseph Kennedy

In the early morning hours of Sept. 14, the Village had another burglary, this time of a residence. The suspect was arrested on scene and committed to the Tioga County Jail.  

Please make sure that you are locking your doors and keeping a watchful eye on your neighborhoods.  

The Department is also looking for Tyler Engelhard, a 33-year-old white male that was reported missing on Thursday, Sept. 6, from an Owego RSS house. Tyler is considered a vulnerable adult. Tyler is 5-foot 8-inches tall, and approximately 180 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes.

From Sept. 10, 2018 through Sept. 16, 2018, the Police Department had 76 calls for service, made four Felony arrests, four Misdemeanor arrests, four traffic accidents, issued three traffic tickets, four warning tickets and three parking tickets.
