The 2018 Eastern Six Cylinder Chevy Tour will be based in Owego Sept. 9-13. Organized and hosted by Jerry and Barbara Adams of Newark Valley, the tour is made up of 51 Chevrolets, 1929-54, with approximately 100 tourists from 12 states and Canada. All are members of the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America (VCCA.)

The group will be staying at the Quality Inn, where registration and the opening dinner will take place on Sunday, Sept. 9.

Tours run Monday through Thursday along country roads leading to stops in Bradford County, Pa. and Tioga and Tompkins Counties in N.Y.

Visits are planned for the Tool & Textile Museum in Orwell, and in Wyalusing and Warren Center in Pennsylvania.

In New York, the group will drive to Cornell’s Botanical Gardens, Sapsucker Woods, the Bement Billings Farmstead Museum, Iron Kettle Farm, and Tioga Downs Casino and Resort.

Traveling approximately 300 miles in four days, the tourists will enjoy driving their vintage Chevys in a slow-paced, relaxed manner along country roads. An added bonus is the camaraderie and fellowship that comes as VCCA members join together for this annual event.

The tour will end with a dinner Thursday evening, Sept. 13, at Pheasant Hill Country Club on Waits Road, where plans will be announced for next year’s tour in Vermont.
