Cloud Croft Studios, in partnership with the Tioga Arts Council, recently announced the opening of Everyday Life, Every Day Art, a juried regional art exhibition to benefit the Tioga County Anti-Hunger Task Force.

Everyday Life, Every Day Art will run from Sept. 8 through Sept. 29 at Cloud Croft Studios located at 1003 Sanford Rd. in Owego.

The exhibit opened to artists within a 100-mile radius of Owego in August, and will be presenting awards for Best in Show: $1,500, Painting: $400, Sculpture: $40, Photography: $400, Graphics: $400, Fibers: $400, Special Theme – Edibles: $400, People’s Choice: $250 (will be announced at the end of the exhibition), and Honorable Mentions.

The exhibit is presented in conjunction with Butternut Gallery and Second Story Books out of Montrose, Pa. Through experience, expertise, support and art, the organizers are hoping to make this an annual event the county can be proud of.

Everyday Life, Every Day Art will also be part of the Tioga Arts & Agricultural Trail, a countywide, self-guided tour through art studios and farmland on Sept. 15 and 16.

Distinguished jurors include Michael Stolzer, an artist and gallery owner that divides his time between Oneonta and New York, N.Y.; Cathy Rosa Klimaszewski, associate director / Harriet Ames Charitable Trust Curator of Education at the Herbert F. Johnson Museum at Cornell University in Ithaca; and Kathryn Lesoine, an artist working and living in Montrose, Pa., whose work combines her long-standing original medium of photograph with a fairly new interest in encaustic.

TBEX, the largest conference and networking event for travel bloggers, online travel journalists, new media content creators, travel brands and industry professionals, will be hosting its annual international conference in Corning from Sept. 12-14, and world-renowned travel bloggers will be visiting Cloud Croft Studios during their stay.
