Depot to welcome back Jude’s Polka Jets

On Aug. 24, the Depot in Newark Valley will welcome back Jude’s Polka Jets for a return performance.

Jude Wasileski’s band hails from Northeast Pennsylvania, and he along with his wife Teresha, Mike Hitaloski, and Maria Wasileske will bring a variety of music selections to the Depot stage. The Polka Jets will have you tapping your toes and clapping your hands to their lively music.

On Aug. 31, Greg Neff will bring his many talents as a singer / songwriter and guitarist to the Depot Stage. Greg has written several songs of his own, and continues to perform extensively throughout the Southern Tier.

Greg is very versatile and is especially fond of playing and singing folk and rock music of the 60s and 70s. Expect to hear The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel and James Taylor among others.

The 2017 Depot Friday Night series will come to a close on Sept. 7 with the popular singer, Daphne Braden. Daphne has been playing her guitar and singing throughout the Southern Tier since 1997. She has a wide variety of musical styles from pop and rock, to jazz, blues, country and classical hits.

Daphne creates a fun “variety show” atmosphere, with sing-a-longs and audience participation.

The Depot is sponsored by the Newark Valley Historical Society and is located on Depot Street in Newark Valley. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the entertainment begins at 7 p.m. Admission is free and refreshments are available.
