The Tioga County Fair in Owego returns Aug. 6 through Aug. 11, and will be bigger and better than ever. All new this year is a low $10 admission price for everyone. The fee includes parking, shows, grandstand events, carnival rides, music entertainment, competition, and much more.

This year features an all-new Midway, brought to you by Gillette Shows; the same great company from the former Apalachin Fireman’s Field days and the Broome County Fair. Rides are available for the entire family.

On Monday, admission is free for all. There won’t be rides that day, but guests can enjoy world-class horse racing featuring the New York Sire Stakes.

Rides begin on Tuesday at 5 p.m., with the new Buckaroo Rodeo at 6:30, the Dash for Cash event at 7 p.m., and the little Miss and Mr. Tioga Contest at 5 p.m.

On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, rides open at 2 p.m. The demo derby will also take place at night.

“Next of Kin” perform on the Show Stage on Wednesday, “Bug Tussle” on Thursday, Animal Adventure Park will arrive on Friday, the Ross Park Zoo mobile on Saturday, “Last Call” on Saturday, in addition to the Lumberjack Festival, Tractor Pull, beer tent, wine tasting, and so much more.
