Ransom Park receives Mildred Faulkner Truman grant for beautification

The Town of Tioga would like to thank the Mildred Faulkner Truman Foundation for funding that allowed them to beautify and enhance the entrances to Ransom Memorial Park with the addition of black top that was done in May 2018. In a press release, the town stated that without this funding, this project would not have been possible at this time.

Ransom Memorial Park is located off Route 17C in Tioga Center. It is owned by the Town of Tioga and has become a place for family reunions, picnics, weddings, clambakes and many types of events. Tioga Central Elementary School spends their end of year field days there.

For 25 years there have been countless volunteer hours spent to create and build the park, with continuing efforts on a daily basis.

It is also the home of Tioga Girls Youth Softball Fields, located off Locust Lane.

The Town of Tioga has received numerous compliments on the beauty of the park since the improvements have been made.

Ransom Memorial Park can be scheduled for events by calling the Town of Tioga Clerk at (607) 687-2292.
