En Plein Air outdoor art show and sale is this Sunday

On Sunday, July 15, the area’s finest independent artists transform Owego’s Draper Park into an outdoor art gallery called En Plein Air, an outdoor art show and sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The community is invited. 

In addition to the beautiful artwork that will be on display and for sale, they will also have a few other special offerings that include a free En Plein Air Children’s Workshop, as well as other activities. 

The workshop will take place from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the park. Space is limited, so if you would like your child (or children) to participate, e-mail tiogaartscouncil@gmail.com.

There will also be Historic Village Walking Tours that will depart from Draper Park and be led by the Tioga County Historical Society and Master Gardeners. To stay up to date about departure times, follow the arts council on Facebook.

Also offered is community painting. In the spirit of En Plein Air, the arts councils invites visitors to paint on a community canvas featuring a scene of Owego. All ages and skill levels are encouraged. Artist Toni Jo Katchuk Richards donated a canvas with a family-friendly sketch of local Owego.

Pick up some lunch at one of the local restaurants and enjoy a meal while basking in the ambience of Draper Park. .
