Thanks from Tioga County Rural Ministry

Dear Editor,

Thank you to the many businesses, churches, stores, and organizations that hosted our Soap for Hope bins. Due to the generosity of all who participated by sharing personal care and household cleaning items, we were able to attain a best-ever – 4,536 products!

These are all items that cannot be purchased with SNAP funds (food stamps) and items that we gladly distribute at our pantry because of your kindness.  Thank you to Abide in the Vine, The Candor American Legion, Chemung Canal Bank, Church of the Nazarene, Community Bank, NA, (Owego and Nichols), Deptartment of Social Services, Ed Syryca, Dollar General (Owego), Family Dollar (Apalachin), Family Dollar (Owego), First Baptist Church, First Presbyterian Union Church, Germany Hill Church, Moose Lodge, Nick’s Garage, Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Owego American Legion, Owego Lions Club, Peak Performance, Riverview Nursing Home, Scott Smith & Son, St. Margaret Mary Church, St. Patrick Church, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Styling Corner, Sword and Spirit Christian Fellowship, the Tioga County Courier, Tioga County Sheriff’s Department, Tioga Opportunities, Tom Ash Agency, United Methodist Church (Owego), United Methodist Church (Smithboro), United Methodist Church (Flemingville), Owego’s VFW, Yaman’s Automotive, and Zion Lutheran Church.

Your tremendous support brings a smile (and relief) to many! Thank you for stretching out your hands and hearts to neighbors in need who greatly appreciate your care.

Sincerely,

Sister Mary
