Strawberry Festival in downtown Owego. Friday Night Block Party runs from 5 to 10 p.m.; Saturday runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a parade at 10 a.m., learn more at owego.org, or Follow The Historic Owego Marketplace on Facebook. Over 20 bands on four stages, dinosaurs roaming the streets, aerial artistry, vendors, children’s entertainment, and much more.

June is National Dairy Month. The Jolly Farmer Ice Cream Stand, located at 7 Elizabeth St. in Waverly, will be holding a ‘Cow-to-Cone-Day. There will be a real baby dairy calf for people to meet, a life-size cow that can be milked, Dairy Princesses from various counties, fun activities, a photo opportunity set up you won’t want to miss, your favorite ice cream and more! There is plenty of space in their large lot for everyone, so come out and have a “dairy fun” day with some cool treats!

28th Annual Hiawatha Island Father’s Day Breakfast, 9 to 11 a.m., Waterman Center Boat Dock, Western end of Marshland Road, Apalachin. Last boat leaves at 11 a.m. The cost is $20 per person, $30 per couple, and ages five to 12 are $10; under age five is free. Reservations are required and payment must be received by June 15. St. John’s Episcopal Church of Speedsville’s annual chicken BBQ, begins at 11:30 a.m. Freewill offering for 1/2 chicken, salt potatoes, baked beans and pie. There will also be raffle baskets.
