The Tioga Women Lead Council is proud to announce their first conference event, It’s Up to You Women’s Leadership Conference, on Thursday, June 7, from 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Tioga Downs Resort and Casino.
Tioga Women Lead (TWL) is a group of professional, local, women leaders who are committed to advancing women’s leadership through empowerment, education and experience. They began hosting leadership events in 2016 to educate, support and advance women leaders in Tioga County.
It’s Up to You will begin at 8 a.m. with registration, coffee and light refreshments. The program starts at 9:00 a.m. and features local women leaders sharing their experiences, their knowledge, and the tools that have helped them grow as leaders.
A buffet lunch will be served and all attendees will receive giveaways. Attendees can choose between four speakers in two breakout sessions, and Penny Bartlow, keynote speaker, will address the entire conference.
Abbey Hendrickson, executive director of The Discovery Center, presents “Sorry Not Sorry,” which discusses how failure is the best teacher. Participants will explore creative techniques to [unapologetically] tackle life’s challenges and use failure as a catalyst for positive change.
Dr. Christina Puglisi, Chiropractor and Certified Health Coach, presents “Level Up: It Starts with You,” which invites you to explore your current reality with your physical, mental and financial well-being, and asks the question, “What is your desired state?”
You will learn the simple steps to level up your health and arm yourself with the tools needed to step into your role as a conscious leader in your community.
