Connor Sellars, an Owego Free Academy graduate who is also a SUNY Broome student, races for the Sellars Racing Team in the Double “00” asphalt Sports Modified.

Recently, Sellars placed second in New York State Nascar points and 61st in the top 500 in North America Standings.

Sellars was 2nd in points a Chemung Speedrome twice in the last four years, and won his first feature at the age of 15 in 2014.

Sellars opened the 2018 season at Holland Speedway in Holland, N.Y., a Nascar track, on May 18.

In 2018 Sellars won four features, one of those was a Dirt Modified Race, his first as a Dirt Car driver at Skyline Raceway.

In 2017, Sellars raced in New York, Pennsylvania and Canada. He also raced in the ROC Sportsman’s Series, and finished 9th in points with only two races.

Sellars has a Dirt Modified at his disposal and plans to participate at local dirt tracks this season. He also plans to run the “Eastern States” at the Orange County Fairgrounds at Middletown, N.Y. in October.
