Opinion: Thank you for ‘Citizen of the Year’ recognition

Dear Editor,

Thank you to the Candor Community Service Corp. for the “Citizen of the Year” honor and tea. I am humbled with this and have some pretty big shoes to fill, as TR and Renie were honored in 1994, as well as many others that I admire from Candor.  

Heartfelt thanks to those that came to the tea – from near and far – and joined in the celebration. The cards and gifts were not necessary, as your friendships are gift enough.
