Arts Festivals planned at Hickories Park in Owego

On May 12, No Tuxedo, LLC, a music and arts festival production company, will present Grateful For The Dead, one of four shows planned for this season. 

On May 12, nine bands are scheduled to perform music inspired by the Grateful Dead, Phish, the Allman Brothers and more. 

Also joining in on the celebration are many interesting artists and attractions such as Rolling Fire’s mobile glass blowing unit, Madsenarts tie dye shirts and tapestries, The Dome Of Drones and the Pig Vicious BBQ food “truck.”

In addition, Rob Boss will be demonstrating street art, mixed media painting and more. Bob Alan Bricks will be demonstrating his collage technique.

Also visit the Marketplace where you can purchase a limited edition festival tee shirt and can also sample some of the Twin Tier’s unique products, learn more about nearby nonprofits and try your hand at various attractions.

Locally created beverages by The Farmhouse Brewery and Innovative Bottling will be sold in the “21 and up” Beer and Wine Garden.

Fans are encouraged to look for free tickets, which will be available through some of their favorite bands and in the official program book. 

Russ The BIG Guy, the Chief Entertainment Officer of No Tuxedo, LLC, stated, “Our goal is to provide real opportunities for musicians, artists, and other creatives and entrepreneurs by creating ‘pillar’ events that draw from the region. 

Other events include a July 14 BOODENFOOZ Music and Arts Festival (Indie bands, STEAM exhibits, drone racing), a Sept. 15 Outdoor Sports Spectacular (hunting, fishing, boating exhibitors and Christian, Bluegrass, Country, Country Rock music), and an Oct. 20 Fall Festival which will feature music, arts and crafts and seasonal food. 

All shows are located at the amphitheater in Hickories Park, 259 Hickories Park Rd. in Owego. There is free onsite parking, and all events are family friendly.

No outside food or beverages, and no dogs are permitted. 

Regular priced tickets are $12 for adults, and ages 12 and under are free.
