Owego man sentenced to prison for multiple drug charges

Tioga County’s District Attorney, Kirk Martin, announced on Tuesday that Shawn Terry, age 44 of Owego, N.Y., was sentenced, on April 23, 2018, to seven years in state prison and five years of post-release supervision for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree (methamphetamine), a class A felony.

According to District Attorney Martin, Terry was also sentenced to two years in state prison and one year post-release supervision for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree (methamphetamine), a class B felony, and three years in state prison and one year post-release supervision for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (methamphetamine), a class B felony.

The sentences, according to Martin, will run concurrently.
