In honor of Black History Month, the NYS Women Inc., Susquehanna Chapter donated four new picture books to the Coburn Free Library in Owego to offer a children an opportunity to learn why Black women’s lives matter.

Karen Kretsch, committee chair and long standing member, recently presented the books to Meredith Gallaro, director of the Coburn Free Library.

The Coburn Free library is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday during the summer.
