T.A.L.L. announces April computer class schedule

The Tioga Adult Learning Lab (T.A.L.L.), a computer instruction and employment readiness program of Literacy Volunteers of Broome/Tioga Counties, Inc., is now accepting registrations for basic skills computer classes to be held the month of April. All instruction is of no cost to the public. 

“Basics of Microsoft PowerPoint” will be offered on Tuesday, April 10 and Thursday, April 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. (attend both evenings).

“Basics of Microsoft® Windows Word & Excel”, which focuses on the Windows operating system and helps students prepare simple documents using Microsoft Word and Excel, will meet twice weekly, beginning Tuesday, April 17 and ending on Wednesday, May 23. 

“Social Networking – Using Facebook”, where students can learn the basics of how to set up their own Facebook page, will be offered twice on Thursday, April 19 between 6 and 8 p.m. 

“Job Applications Online” will be offered on Monday, April 23. In this class, students can practice job searches, navigate websites, and learn tips about applying for jobs online. 

Each class will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. in Room 105 at the Owego Free Academy, located on Sheldon Guile Boulevard in Owego. 

Students must be pre-registered to attend, as seating is limited. You can pre-register by contacting the Literacy Office at (607) 778-6406. 

Literacy Volunteers is a Tioga United Way agency.
